Kenyon writes and all the sarcasm from the characters makes for a great combination and all that humour has saved some scenes from being boring, although it has made other serious scenes not seem serious enough. Plus, I really liked some of the secondary characters, and I was actually surprised at one plot twist the book takes towards the end. Nonetheless, I liked the dynamic of the couple and even though Kyrian’s past is incredibly dramatic it made for a really good story.
Furthermore, at some point the main evil/good fight just revolved around the characters love for each other which made it a bit too cheesy for my liking. world rather than what was happening at the moment. However, at some points I felt it lacked plot and was more about the main characters’ pasts and the whole construction of the Ancient Greek/Dark Hunter/etc. The story is quite entertaining and the romance is beautiful to watch develop. Night Pleasures is a romance between a human (again, kinda) whose name is Amanda and a Dark Hunter, which is a race I’m not even going to try to explain because it would take too long. But anyway, I present you here with one of the few books I have read a 22-books-long-and-counting series full of vampires (kinda) and many other creatures of the night as well as gods from all ancient religions.
